Stomach disorders are caused by hormonal and autonomic imbalance, stress, and what we choose to eat.
Burping, bloating, indigestion, and bad breath after eating are symptoms that you’re not digesting your food properly. Instead, the food is rotting and producing gas. This indicates that you are not secreting enough hydrochloric acid.
Too little secretion of hydrochloric acid or “hypochlorhydria” is a widespread stomach disorder.
It can be caused by excessive use of antacids, salt free diets, nervous tension, the aging process, and increased metabolic demands on the body caused by sports, pregnancy and chronic illness.
The results of chronic hypochlorhydria includes allergies, pernicious anemia, loss of taste of meat and other proteins, and iron deficiency anemia.
The parasympathetic nervious system handles your sleeping, healing, digestion, and absorption. Your sympathetic nervious system handles your ability to either fight or run away from a situation.
The parasympatheyic and the sympathetics are on a teeter-totter, as one is activated, the other is deactivated, so when you are under any kind of stress, the sympathetics are turned on and your parasympathetics are turned off. That means your digestion is not going to work well when you are stressed.
