Blendtec Blender: Product Review

When we first heard about the Blendtec, we were intrigued! A friend (and patient) had purchased one and was raving about it. Instead of juicing and then blending her morning shakes, she was throwing everything in the Blendtec and like magic, had a smoothie with less mess, prep time, and waste.
Next, we went online and were amazed! A blender that can liquefy an iPad, and crush cupsful of ice on speed one?! How is that even possible? If you’re the same as me, you’ll want proof…watch this video!

Pretty amazing right?? Needless to say, after seeing the demonstration for this awesome machine, we knew we HAD to buy it. So, after my mom and I convinced my dad of this, we drove down to Costco and bought ourselves one…and fell in love!
The first thing we made after assembling it was a delicious fruit smoothie.

Another yummy thing we like to use our Blendtec for is juicing. All you need to put in is fresh (or frozen) fruit and water. And whalla! Instant juice.

The past two things I mentioned are just a sampling of all the things that the Blendtec can do. Here are some of the things we’ve made so far:
• Peanut butter
• Soup
• Milkshakes
• Juice
• Smoothies
• Powdered Sugar
• Bread Dough
Every time we used our old blender, the motor would smoke and sputter. With the Blendtec, it doesn’t matter what you throw at it, it will blend it up quicker than you can say, “Amalgamate!”
The only downside to this blender is the cost. Since we bought ours at Costco, with tax, it was just under $400; but when you buy the Blendtec online at http://www.blendtec.com/ it will cost you $399.95, plus shipping and handling, plus tax.
This product’s base comes in red, white, or black, and with the normal sized jar, although you can purchase the large jar as well. Some useful tools that the Blendtec possesses are the easy-to-read measurements on the jar, the square shape of the jar for easy pour, and the odometer that tells you how many times you’ve used your Blendtec.

Along with all those nifty features, the Blendtec also came with its very own ENORMOUS cook book. The cook book is filled with countless recipes from bread to salsa, to fondue!
Overall, this purchase was a very smart one! However, if you buy one and do not agree, you’re in luck! This warranty is very customer-satisfaction oriented, so if you’re not happy, you can return it.
The Blendtec did everything it promised us and more! It’s encouraged our whole family to eat healthier, use our creativity with food, and help us all to feel that we can make something that everyone will want with just the push of a button! I strongly recommend this blender, it is one of the best in its class and definitely worth the money!
